We had them yesterday for our team party. The pizza was amazing!!!!! We ordered cheese and pepperoni and both were delicious! All of our parents asked where we got it from. The staff was amazing and super helpful. We threw them a curve ball by adding 18 pizzas to our original order of 18 and they were super accommodating and got it to us 30 minutes after our first order. I would recommend this place to everyone. We will definitely be ordering from them again.
Bing from the Philadelphia area I have found that Georgia has nothing in the way of food that excites me nothing to write home about to say you got to go to Georgia the try this or that. Happening upon Baby Tommy's I found it they have the best pizza I have ever had in Georgia they come close to what I'm used to being from Philadelphia they have a very very good pizza especially their chicken caesar Ranch pizza I would revisit them just for that one item
The food here is better if you pick it up or dine in also some of the things are pre made so if you order make a small change to your order they will make it fresh I ordered a Stromboli and the dough was a little thin for my liking but other than that it was really good, dough was fresh ingredients seem fresh will have to try the stuffed pizza next can't wait!
After speaking with the head of the restaurant and seeing how they handle customer complaints, on second thought, I will continue to order through Baby Tommy's. Tony handled my complaint very professionally and quickly.
Other than tonights issue, Baby Tommy's is #1 for pizza in Marietta!
My new local pizza spot! Customer service was great. Pizza slices are huge NY foldable pizza. Prices are fair. Will be back for more!
Good pizza and wonderful staff.
The only issue is the prices. If only they were a little bit cheaper. The store is clean and gives you that "up north" vibe. The steak and cheese sandwiches are also good.
Good selection of slices and whole pies. This is the most similar to New York style I've found since moving here from Queens.
Great owner! He's so friendly and to be honest, the whole family is just as wonderful. Very hospitable and the food is awesome. Also, with the prices that they have, you can't beat it! My fianc's younger brother, whose diet consists of mainly macaroni and cheese/chicken nuggets, totally loves this place. I recommend this restaurant to all of my friends living in Marietta and, personally, this is the only pizza/pasta joint that I frequent.
Rob, you are amazing! Thanks for putting up with miss crabby last minute customer! Not many people left in the world like that! To actually walk out and say hey come back in here and let's get you taken care of after I was so bitchy, I just don't have the words for how this touched my heart. Thanks Rob.
Super awesome place! We came for some pizza as we were passing through, and these people were phenomenal. The pizza tasted great and the staff was super friendly and helpful! Definitely made our trip that much more special! If you are in the area and looking for good NY style pizza, make this your next stop!
I really didn't know what to expect from this restaurant, but could tell they have allot of regulars as soon as I entered. The menus is pretty big, we ordered hot sandwiches and a pizza . The sandwiches were amazing ....and the pizza was incredible . I definitely will be back . The staff was very friendly. I can't wait to bring my husband here!
My son and I went yesterday for the first time and it was very tasty and inexpensive. I would definitely go back again!
I love Baby Tommy's,, the pizza is NY Style and lots of toppings,,, their Subs are Amazing,, my favs are LARRYS LOVE SUB, WILLIE WHOPPER and THE LITTLE ITALY - Made with Cappicola and Genoa Salami.. also, the Pasta dishes are really good ,, my wife really likes them,, but I go for the Pizza and Subs.. The only reason they don't get 5 stars from me is the price of the pizza,, a little high for dough, sauce and cheese,, and they really take a long time when you eat in,, 2 slices of pizza, a soda and $9.20 and 25 minutes later I got my food.. They deliver fast AF, but slow for diners,, guess because they almost always really busy.. Its worth the wait and the few extra $$.
This pizza is so flipping good. Gonna pay a bit more than you would at a big chain but it's not too bad and the quality of the pizza makes it worth it.
great spot!!! pizza was nice and crispy!!! Everyone working was friendly restaurant was clean and it was busy definitely will return !!!
My ex and friends from New York have said this is the closest thing to NY pizza they've had outside of NY.
I personally don't have a point of reference as far as that goes, but it is without a doubt the best pizza I've had here in my hometown! Amazing topping options, huge slices, wonderful friendly staff.
Happy to have them near :)
I have never been disappointed with my order. This place is the closest to home menu I have found down here. We order several times a month and I'm working my way the the menu.
My girlfriend and I shared a small cheese calzone and we both say that it is, without a doubt, the best calzone we have ever eaten. The atmosphere is very New York and the staff is helpful, energetic, and funny. The portions are more than fair for the price and if you're in the area you should definitely stop by.
Great pizza& Wonderful cooks. The place is in serious need of renovations & cleaning. Other than that.... I'm addicted to their pizza ????????????????
Pretty darn good pizza! Loved their cheesesteaks! I'll certainly be back! Plus, they deliver! Awesome!!!
Got the stuffed meat pizza and it was great. I am not a huge fan of saucey pizza, so if you like light sauce this pizza is perfect. They give you marinara to dip the pizza in, but it seemed a little watery. It didn't make a difference in the flavor of the pizza. One slice is absolutely huge by the way. So if you're ordering with Uber Eats, one slice might be enough!
Having lived in north NJ for over 20 years before coming south I have to say this is one of the better pizza places I've found in the Atlanta area. Maybe not on the level of Labella's, but this is closer to my house and therefore I visit it more frequently. I've never had a bad slice here (and that's how I order it, by the slice).
Pretty solid pizza, haven't tried anything else they make but it all looks good. I would definitely recommend.
Great food... Stop in almost every time I come to Marietta.
Update - still get here about once every other month for lunch. Consistently good food, no issues with lengthy delays, good service. Philly cheese steak, lasagna, and the slice, salad and drink special are my go-to choices. It's a NYC style blue collar, plastic knife and fork place. Badda-bing badda-boom.
Good lunch place. $7 plus tip gets you a slice, salad and a drink. Many other choices.
The pizza and salad were both delicious. Pizza wasn't greasy and had the right amount of sauce. The crust had the right amount of crispness.
I've been here only a handful of times, but the food is always been good. I've seen the meat stuffed pizza and wanted to try it, so today I pulled the trigger. It was excellent! I got it to go, and have plenty of left overs.
Our out of town relative had this pizza delivered to us and it was awesome. Pizza was delivered right on time. Crust was super fresh and they added just the right amount of generous toppings. Pizza was not greasy and sauce had good flavor. Very good NY style pizza for Georgia. We had never tried this place before, but we will certainly order from them again.
Truly the taste of NY. Pizza is awesome & authentic. Great service & friendly staff.
Great manager Will. Excellent customer service. Extremely fast and fresh. I ordered today and i was eat hot food under 35 mintues.
If you eat here you will never eat at pizza hut dominos or papa johns. Great experience always but Will is just darn great. Ill call the owner soon for compliments
Many pizza places claim to have N.Y. pizza, but this place actually knows what they are doing. Thin crust that is crispy but soft with just the right amount of char. Fresh toppings that add to but are not overwhelmed by the sauce or cheese. A truly well done pie! Definitely worth a trip!
I love the dude that’s always there late at night. Well, I guess all the dudes. Super nice and sometimes funny too. Plus the pizza is bomb
This place has the best and biggest wings!! This is the only place in Marietta that I go to for wings
Went there to celebrate my son's 21st birthday with family. They treated us so kindly and the food was great. Thank you!!!
Helpful and friendly staff! Food was cooked quickly and was excellent! We ordered a large pizza and two slices of the stuffed pizza along with some sides. Love the desserts!!
I love this place! I'm from Boston so anything close to home I crave! They never disappoint.....
I love this place. The best Philly cheese around and turkey gobbler.
This place has been my favorite pizza place for years. Great food and crew!!
Loved it, awesome customer service, great food! Can't wait to go back
The chicken parm and Buffalo ranch pizzas are so delicious! Can't wait to try other varieties
First time ordering and it was a great experience! My food arrived piping hot and before the initial estimated time for delivery! Driver was super pleasant. I got the meatball sub, fries and lemon pepper wings. The wings were crispy and a very good (meaty) size! Will be ordering again!
This pizza place was awesome.. must try, not saying that cause the owner give me free pizza cause he was closing but it's really good.. looking for meats in ur pizza and they are huge.. real nice and friendly workers.. chef was nice and so is the owner son.. Thanks Tommy..
This place is the best. The dough perfect the ingredients are fresh, don't taste freezer burnt.
Wide varity on memu.
They've been around forever they've changed ownership a few times but never lost the quality of their food. Always welcoming and friendly now they deliver thank goodness!!!! All of their pizza's are great the stuffed ones will leave you stuffed. The subs are great as well the prices are reasonable.
We've been going here since 2000 and like I said the owners have changed a few times but the food hasn't they stick to tried and true recipes and give you a heck of a bang for your buck. We've always done take out never eaten in the place but its clean and they've got TV's on sports channels and it is a good environment.
With Life Univ. they've gotten a lot of the college crowd so you know its good pizza, don't forget your card when you fill it up after 9 visits $6 off your order. Its not fancy and neither are the prices.
The best pizza for delivery where we live, much better than Marietta Pizza Co, IMO. Really nice people and a well run business too.
This pizza shop is very closeby, but over the years, their hours have been so restrictive,we never got an opportunity to try them out. They have since expanded their hours of operation so that you do not have to order pizza before rush hour. It also seems that they stopped their delivery service that I noticed before in favor of Uber Eats.
When we visited, the staff was enormously friendly and helpful. But,the a/c was out. The heat was slightly less than sweltering because they had a few fans strategically placed around the restaurant for relief.
I love sliced sausage that is not spicy, never noticed that they had it. I was highly impressed by the offering. We asked that they make the pizza well done,it was not at all.
All in all, good visit. Good pizza. Hope that the air is fixed by the next time that we visit.
awesome awesome awesome!!!!!!!! great every time!!!!!
Seriously though. Those cannolis. Delicious. And the shell has ALWAYS been crunchy. I would've taken a picture, but I couldn't wait to eat it and a picture wouldn't do it justice. I'll try to describe it. Crisp, crunchy, fresh, creamy, sweet, delectable.
The best lasagna and pizzas. Great staff really nice. Food is fast, hot and delicious.
The small calzone is huge and pretty tasty!! I ordered from Yelp Eats and delivery arrived promptly. I have no complaints. Lots of pepperoni and cheese. It's gets 4 stars because it's nothing super special, just good!
I order while at work and delivery is always fast and friendly! The food is traditional, tastes great, and is priced great!!!
The staff is so welcoming and helpful, fair price for the food, and the food itself is wonderful. A lot of variety of pizzas and entrees- this is my new favorite marietta spot!!
This is seriously straight from New York streets to ATL. If you have ever been to New York and eaten pizza from many of the restaurants, you would know this lives up to the name. Their lasagne is excellent for a great price cor lunch.
Awesome place. If you go to SPSU or Life U., you should definitely go to this place often.
I have to say that I've only been to NYC once, and I've never had pizza there, so I'm far from an expert on the subject. I will also say that, regardless of my own experiences, Taste of New York serves up a darn fine pizza.
You order your pizza at the counter, and they go and reheat it for you so that it comes out piping hot, with the cheese freshly re-melted. It could be that the pizza sits out for long periods of time, but the system seems to work as everything tasted relatively fresh. All in all, there's very little I can say bad about their pizza. It has a thin crust and comes out with the perfect amount of char and crispiness. The crust is also flavored very well, and it's a testament that we eat all of the crust (we've been known to leave the crust at other places). Their sauce is also quite good, and put on there in just the right proportion to everything else. So far, we've had several slices (Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Eggplant Parmesean, etc.), and have loved every single bite of their pizza. On one trip, I also ordered the deli sandwich with corned beef and pastrami, which was good, but served cold. After heating later, the sandwich was so much better.
Having now been here several times, I can say that their pizza has consistently been the best I've ever had. Given this level of quality and its proximity to our home, Taste of New York will serve our pizza cravings nicely.
In Atlanta on business, did a quick check for nearby places and BAM....this placed popped up. Parking lot was full so I thought I'd try it out. Glad I did. The pizza was awesome. Pizza slices tried were loaded baked potato, pepperoni, chicken ranch and awesomeness. They were all great! Quick order and fairly quick out of the oven. Alot of patrons eating here and I will definately be back. 2 slices and a coke were roughly $9. Man I'm stuffed!
Baby Tommys Taste of New York has the best pizza in town! Pizza slices are huge! Well worth the money!
This is now Marietta's reigning king of New York style pizza. There were some comparable contenders, but now this is the only place in Marietta that you can get an actual slice the way that pizza should be!
Here you can get the most amazing cheese steak sanbitch you've ever had! Every part of this was oozing with goodness. Fresh meat, fresh bread, cheese was perfect! I mean... 10 out of 10 stars guys. Try one NOW!
Good pizza joint. Had one with pepperoni & sausage. Quite tasty. I wouldn't waste your time or calories on the garlic knots as I didn't think they were anything special. Do make the right choice & end your meal with a brownie - so soft & yummy. This place isn't close to my house at all, but I'd go here again just for another brownie. ;-0
Brings me back to NY. Sicilian pizza tastes like back home. They have standard sized canoli's too! Highly recommended!
Hailing from North Jersey about 10 minutes away from NYC, I thought that my days of "New York Style" pizza were over, then I found Baby Tommy's.
They make HUGE pies (err, pizzas) and give you huge slices. They have some odd combos (Baked Ziti Pizza) but they are the closest I have come to true, authentic, NYC style pizza in the south.
Of course, whenever I get back to the north, their pizza still rocks, but it is always nice to have a taste of it here in the south and Baby Tommy's gives you that!
I have been going to BabyTommys for about seven years for lunch. I agree with the positive reviews from the other contributors so I will adress some other things. Tommys changed ownership a few years ago. Previous owner was NY'er and was very easy going. Tommys reflected that. Since change in ownership it became more 'sterile' with signs popping up around the ordering area such as " turn off your cellphone" or ".10 for water". Gone is the local pizzeria feel. Welcome to the for profit colder feel. It is hard to understand the spanish speaking employees when they call out your order. I have literally sat there for an extra ten minutes thinking my order had not been called because nothing the guy said ever resembled "buffalo chicken".
Don't get me wrong it is very good pizza, my second favorite in the area (Christos - Connecticut style is better). The crust is better than Rosas but in the last few months the prices have gone up and the amount of toppings have decreased - notibly
It is really good
I guess I cant give the most fair review of this place considering I came for a quick slice of pizza, the morning after a party....ahem.
I can say that I have passed this spot a billion times on the way to the crib, and never really ventured inside.
I am actually pretty glad I did. The place was packed during lunch time and the pizzas looked extremely appetizing.
I had the bbq chicken pizza which was your typical bbq chik pizza layered with ranch dressing.
Pretty good, but I gotta try out a whole pie.
Baby Tommy's has definitely been a staple of mine for the past year and some change whenever I crave carbs (like right now). The pizza has been consistently good -- generous toppings, unique variations and some of the best dough I've ever tasted.
Normally when I eat pizza I leave the crusts on the paper plate. But Baby Tommy's has this amazing dough that's never dried out like a brick and has a hint of garlic. This is why I love their calzones and chicken rolls so much. Even when you reheat leftovers the dough never gets rock hard.
Still a four-star effort for taste and overall value.
I'm a fan by far. This place rocks. The prices are good, the slices are HUGE and it actually does taste pretty darn good. The buffalo chicken rocks but the BBQ chicken was pretty dry. Right around the corner from my work, it's convenient and a nice change a pace from fast food hell.
Tied for "Best NY pizza" with NY Pizza Exchange in Vinings, IMO. The meatball subs, stuffed pizza and calzones are all top-notch. Come hungry and grab a handful of napkins...you're going to need them. You might as well be having lunch in the East Village. The prices are higher than average, although fair, given the portions they serve and they've got a frequent diner card, which is always nice. I've only been here for lunch, but I'm there about once a week these days.
Baby Tommy's has some unusual pizza toppings that taste terrific. We like to go and get a 6-8 slices - enough to fill up a huge pizza box. We bring them home and heat them up. They last several days. Favs are the loaded baked potato and the stuffed veggies but we have never had a bad slice.
One of my favorite pizza places (Certainly my favorite NY style).
Their sausage pizza is the best I've had (outside of chicago - where I became hooked on sausage pizza). We eat it often and continue to crave it. I work pretty far and live even further away from Baby Tommy's and always find it worth the drive if you are in the mood for super good NY style Pizza. The owner is friendly, and remembers your name even though the place is packed on a daily basis.
A good experience all around!
Yay, this has been the only pizza ( besides antico) that has not gave me tummy problems...so I'm a fan of that! I came and sampled a few slices like the Buffalo chicken pizza, and the chicken bacon ranch was pretty tasty as well. I figured I'd branch out from my typical peperoni mushroom and I'm glad I did. The crust is not to thin, not to thick - just right! Baby Tommy's is now my place to go when the craving for pizza hits me.
Everyone should visit this pizzeria. The pizzas are delicious and they are huge. A single slice is more than enough for a meal f or many people. I've been there a few times and it always seems like someone is asking for a box when they ordered one stuffed meat lovers slice.
The owner also works hard to make sure the customer is happy. As I was there yesterday, there must have been a mistake in another gentleman's order, well, the owner took over and included an extra pizza on top of what else he ordered as another way of saying sorry for the mistake. He also takes charge and helps his cooks/servers take care of the business.
They have daily specials that are not typcially on the menu along with just about everything else you see in many pizzerias. Stromboli, Hot Sandwiches, Pizza, Pasta, and Very TASTY Garlic Bread.
The building looks a little out of place as it is not sitting next to other restaurants, but sitting next to an auto shop. But it isn't a place you want to miss!
This was my first time trying Baby Tommy's. I have to say it is, great new york style pizza! A lot of toppings, and great flavor! I would definately come here again
I am with everyone else on this one. A+, outstanding pizza! I have eaten about every pizza joint in Kennesaw, Marietta, Smyrna, Roswell etc...I love pizza and this place just got moved to either number 1 or 2 on my list. I had the jumbo 4 cheese pizza and was pleasantly surprised with no red sauce but something they called "white base". It was not a sauce but more like a perfect catalyst for the marriage of the bread and cheese.
*Something I found to set this pizza apart from every other is the dough. I am not sure what the secret ingredient is but the dough has a sweet hint to it almost like a pinch of sugar was used while rolling it out! Awesome.
this place is way better than it looks when driving past it.
I've been driving past this place for 5 years barely noticed it till I went for lunch with some friends. I'm glad I finally made it in. The stuffed pizza is insane
First rate wonderful food. The meat meat meat pizza is superb. Very authentic Italian food. Very clean and management very friendly.
I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for quite some time now. I think one thing that has kept me from going is the location. It just looks like a hole in the wall. Well I bit the bullet and stopped by yesterday! SO GLAD I DID. :)
I went in to get some quick pizza and bring it home. From the moment I walked in I was amazed at the selection of pizzas they had. Since they had all these great pizzas available I wanted to try something diffferent!!
I went adventure style and got a ranch, bacon, cheese, and a double crusted meat lovers!!! They were both fantastic. I love that they do by the slice, because you can really mix it up and have a fun lunch and not be stuck with one whole pizza. I hate taking pizza home and paying a big price for food that I don't eat. (although, I will admit it is nice to have some cold pizza for breakfast or whenever, but what if I am not going straight home, then it become a hassle.......sorry for that sidenote) BACK TO THE REVIEW!!!!! lol.
The service was spot on. They were ready to take my order as soon as I walked in, but when you have never been to the place, one needs some time to take it all in!
I recommend it and will be back. I have to check off all those pizzas after all, and one slice at at a time!
Great wide selection of delicious pizzas & toppings. The slices are huge. I particularly like the chicken parmesan pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza, but just the regular pepperoni is really good.
Definitely would recommend trying it out, grab a couple of slices...
I've been trying to find the "best" NY style pizza in the Atlanta area. This place is among the best I've had. The ratio of cheese, sauce, and bread is perfect. However, their dough is quite on the sweet side. I am not a fan of the "sweetness." The restaurant's interior looks like any pizza place in New York City. A jumbo 20" Cheese pizza was around $18.
Last Wednesday I hit up Baby Tommy's Taste of New York up in Marietta. While I wasn't excited about driving all the way up into Tasty China territory for pizza (I seriously considered getting some TC on the way home), I was looking forward to the prospect of good pie.
Lately I've eaten a ton of pizza and have had a growing displeasure with pizza that just doesn't measure up. It makes me wonder if the age of my being able to happily eat any old pie has gone and past. Is it true? Am I a pizza snob?
Contemplating this point during my drive to Baby Tommy's, and realizing that I'm halfway to Tennessee, I think I may have my answer.
First of all, when trying to find Baby Tommy's, do not trust Google Maps. They will direct you somewhere near the Wal-Mart. Instead as you come off the interstate onto 120, make a left onto Cobb Parkway, not a right as the all-wise-and-powerful Google will tell you. Baby Tommy's is almost immediately on the left.
The inside of Baby Tommy's is what I expect in a New York style pizzeria. No frills, a few TV's displaying ESPN, and a large quantity of slices on display near the ovens, waiting to be heated to order. But single slices are for suckers. I ordered up a whole large cheese, much to the surprise of my order taker ("you must be hungry!"), and waited the 15 minutes or so it took for the pie to arrive. This gave me some time scope out the scene and the clientele.
There was a good sized lunch contingency - those on their lunch break, some students, and even a few Air Force soldiers, all enjoying large, foldable slices. I was definitely hungry and excited about the potential of what appeared to be a well-made New York style pie. When it arrived I couldn't bring myself to wait a minute or two for the cheese to cool down, so I dug right in.
The dough was good NY style thickness with above average endcrust, slightly sweet, crunchy/not too doughy, with a bitter, charred upskirt. I could barely taste the sauce and there wasn't enough of it. The cheese was nicely browned, slightly greasy, standard flavor, and there was a good amount of it.
The charred/bitter taste of the bottom of the pie, and the lack of sauce are the only thing keeping me from giving this a glowing review. I liked the taste of the endcrust, there was a good amount of cheese, and it was the perfect size and thickness that you expect from a foldable NY slice of pizza. I actually liked the dough better than Rosa's.
While I am not eager to make the 25 minute drive back up there right away, I think Baby Tommy's is a worthy spot and I recommend you give it a try if you're in the area (or make the drive if you are a slice hound and want to see for yourself).
NY pizza in Marietta?? Some even claim it's better than Rosa's (which I still need to try). I've been wanting to try this place for a long time - yesterday I finally did. You order up front, and along the way, you'll see several different kinds of pizza on display - choose your slice and they will warm it up for you. I had a hard time deciding between the Buffalo Chicken, the Chicken Bacon Ranch, the Stuffed Vegetable, & the Stromboli. After hearing a couple of the guys say the Buffalo Chicken was really good, I got a slice for $3.50 & a small Greek salad for $4.95.
My pizza was delicious. It had breaded chicken marinated in Buffalo sauce & drizzled with blue cheese dressing. Honestly I worried whether there would be too much blue cheese but it was just a subtle amount, and my slice wasn't as heavy tasting as I had expected. The crust was perfect. The salad was very fresh - just very disappointed at the size & presentation. The salad is pre-packed & compressed into one of those sandwich size take-out containers ... therefore it was a little hard to eat & mix the ingredients. Really not worth the $4.95 - next time I'll skip the salad. Best value though is the $7 lunch special which includes 1 slice cheese pizza, salad, & drink.
I'll definitely be back since it's a favorite among the guys in my office - obviously since they go there every Friday :)
I don't claim to be from New York, know what the best New York-style pizza is or claim to be a pizza aficionado. I do like to eat pizza, though.
There are certain things people will argue about endlessly - best burger, best fried chicken, best BBQ and best pizza, of course. It's funny to me when people claim some empirical superiority on things that are obviously a matter of taste.
Here's what I do know for sure: I have never been disappointed by a big ol' pie from Baby Tommy's. "The Works" is freaking awesome, if you're into all that meat. Their crust has a sweet kind of taste and is very edible. You won't be tossing it back in the box. It's pretty good on its own. The pizza is always hot and the ingredients always seem fresh.
So, there you go. Just an opinion. I like it. Alot.
P.S. I used to work closeby so this was not a one-time shot. Have enjoyed their pizza many times, as my waistline can attest.
My and my co-workers used to come here almost every week, and we would always order the sausage pizza. They probably have the best sausage pizza I've ever tasted in Atlanta.
I don't know about their other pies though. We only ordered the sausage pizza. But hey, I can vouch that their sausage pizza is great since I ate it a zillion times. Also, their slices are huge. I'm more of a Neapolitan pizza fan; but this place is great for a regular, NY style pizza.
lawwwday ... a coworker insisted that we take our client to lunch here today and I have to say that it was well worth all of the hype. He's definitely a foodie (yelp seems to be outside of his generational blind folds though) but I am usually pretty cautious when it comes to pizza.
Honestly this should be a 4.5 but you cant fault them for making the food so good that you force yourself to eat the other half of the slice of pizza I started on. By the time I put the last bite in my mouth, I almost thought to myself ..."I dont want to do this again for a while"
Before even walking into the door, the aroma outside was outstanding. Once you're inside, you can see why some classify it as a dive but honestly I would eat the pizza sitting on the floor if I had to. Yes ... it's that good.
On to the fun part. So while standing in line we decided that most of us would like to try a slice of the 'stuffed meat'. Based on some quick math calculations we decided that for the seven of us we should just order a full jumbo stuffed meat pie (same size as they one they had in the window that was sold by the slice). While we were waiting, we decided to get two orders of garlic knots which came out promptly. They were much needed as many of us were starving.
Next came the monster. This beast was huuuuuuuuuuuge! We started to chip away at the pie and by the time we were stuffed to the gills, we didn't even finish 1/2 of the pizza! Can you believe that??? Of course we box everything up to take home for dinner. On the way out of the restaurant, the client and I were joking about how much one slice probably weighed (I guessed under a pound or so). He just sent me an email saying that each slice was 22 ounces (1.3 lbs)!!!
Pros: good pizza selection, friendly staff, local atmosphere
Cons: slow pizza prep/delivery, the sign outside is not very clear,
I wrote this review for the same place earlier, but I guess there are multiple listings...
I'm from New York, so that means that I am very picky about pizza. I tried this place out after moving into the area recently and I have to say that I am definitely a fan. The pizza tastes very good! It's hard to find good pizza in Atlanta if you're a New Yorker but I would definitely recommend this place to anyone searching for an authentic NY style pizza place. Even the decor reminds of some of the places in Manhattan and Brooklyn. You have to try the Bacon Chicken Ranch pie, it's definitely a slice of heaven! Everyone who works here is very nice an the lace place is pretty clean too!
Overall I think the place is great and I will definitely be coming back again!!
I've had the meatball sub and the reuben sub and both were above average.
What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in friendliness of the staff and the quality of the ingredients.
Great selection of subs and pizza and traditional Italian dishes.
I tried this pizza joint based off of browsing the halfoffdepot.com website, and I have purchased 3 since. Why does this place even need to be on websites like that? This pizza is so good that they should have lines out the door. I too have passed by this place a million times (not because I didn't want to try it, but because I simply never noticed it there). If you are driving up Cobb Pkwy you will miss it if you blink. Its a dive place that is tucked in between all of the other businesses on that side of the road.
Maybe that's why they are on discount sites. So they will be seen by more people like me that didn't know they existed. I have already taken three different people with me to eat here that have never heard of this place, and the absolutely LOVED the pizza. I agree with other yelpers when I they say it rivals Rosa's downtown....
The customer service is awesome, and the place looks kind of old and worn on the inside with a couple of TVs that always have some sort of game on. The booths sit low, and the place is small but with pizza this good who cares?
I like food and I like Baby Tommy's. Found this place near work and I have to say it is my favorite pizza joint. BUT not only is their pizza A M A Z I N G but they have the BEST chef salad. Who knew, right? I first thought their staff was a bit grouchy, maybe they were having an off day as I gave them another chance and I'm so glad I did. The atmosphere isn't the most appealing, but who cares! Their hours are little limited, so get in when you can.
Stick with the chicken bacon ranch and the chef salad and you with thank me!
Let me start my saying that NY style pizza is my favorite type of pizza; I am not a fan of the "real Italian" pizza that you get at Antico or Verasano's.
With that being said, I have long been on the hunt for good, New York style pizza in Atlanta. After a few tries, I think that I have discovered the best that there is: Baby Tommy's. Is it as good as what you can find in New York? Of course not! But it is the best that I have had down here. I rank it above Il Forno, Rosa's, Alessio's, and Taste of Italy.
The one caveat I will give is that it's probably better to get for takeout. Seating in the restaurant is limited, and the ambiance is certainly nothing to write home about.
couldn;t wait to move to Atlanta to get a good pizza. Tries a few places but nothing has come even close to this place. we got a good ole' Jumbo cheese pizza to go. It was everything i had hoped. this is my pizza place - worth the 20 minute drive from my house. looks like a whole-in-the-wall type of place...and it is. but the service is genuine. Real people serving a great pizza. If you want to be pampered, go somewhere else. If you want a real, honest, genuine, "taste of NY" GO HERE!
Excellent food and atmosphere. I got the Manhattan, cold sandwich, with everything and it was delicious. I could only eat half, but I took it to go, ate it later, and it was still good. I also went again and order a spinach artichoke pizza that came with feta cheese on it. It was also excellent and I would recommend those two items to anyone, but I feel like everything on the menu would be good. I do look forward to going again and trying all the cold sandwich.
Great pizza! Right next to SPSU. They have large slices and are prepared pretty quickly. It's all fresh dough. Good music, too
Staff looks like they might want to hurt me...Check
Pizza by the slice...Check
Delicious pizza that is the closest thing I have found to a real NY style slice...Check
Awesome! You get huge slices of pizza for a great price and the quality of food is fantastic!
This place has everything you'd expect of a hole in the wall that serves tasty food. Ok, the decor is 1.5-star -- it's impossible to cross traffic at this spot, the booths are old and have no springs left in them, and the staff will be accommodating but not warm and friendly. But the pizza and stromboli are solid, and you can get some cheap lunch specials and unlimited refills of your favorite coke product. If you're a pretentious pizza-eater, then this place isn't for you. But if you seek out true NY-style pizza, you'll have visited places like this and been happy you did.
I am a Northeastern transplant (originally from NJ) so my pizza standard is HIGH (peculiar need for the proper proportion of grease to cheese to sauce and doughy-ness)! This place took me back HOME! I am a regular! Yes, the decor is outdated and is overdue for a renovation.. But the FOOD MAKES UP FOR IT! I have yet to be disappointed from Tommy.. I eat here at least twice a month to quench me inner fat kid desire (usually satisfied by the eggplant parm slice) The brownies are perfect .. The pizza is made fresh daily; delicious once it leaves the oven... Always accompany my slice with a side of their homemade marinara sauce.
So I finally found good pizza in Marietta! The selection of items is amazing and the place is all about the food. I got a carry out large pie, so I didn't care about any ambiance. And there is atmo, but it's bare bones and East Coast pizza palour. Place was clean and friendly (I don't know what Steve L. was talking about? he must be a delicate flower) and they helped me order my first pizza the way I wanted it even though I was not familiar with the menu, sizes, toppings, etc.
Crust was chewy and flavorful, but baked just right. You can fold the slice or make a big production like I do and eat with knife and fork. Don't hate me.
Toppings were super tasty and plenty of them. Thin sliced onions and peppers with sausage and peperoni on the work, my friend got plain peperoni. We were both very happy!
Next time I'm getting the eggplant pizza! Can't wait to try the lasagna and some other dinner offerings. I feel better about living here now, it's a comfort knowing somebody loves me at Tommy's!
I've lived a lot of places, among them Chicago (10+ years) and New Jersey (20+), and I really like my pizza. One region of the country that does not have good pizza is the south. Florida and Georgia in particular suffer from terrible pizza to the extent that Papa John's is better than most local pizza joints.
Baby Tommy's has the best pizza in the Atlanta area that I've tasted in my 3 years here. It is the closest to NY pizza that I've ever had in the south. It took a while to find it, but I'm glad I did. It's easy to miss among the pawn shops and car dealerships by the big chicken, but once you find it, you'll be glad you did.
The pizza is terrific. Big slices with a perfect balance of cheese and sauce. The crust is really tasty, almost sweet which really sets it apart. I haven't had a calzone there yet, but I'll bet they're awesome!
The only reason not to give this awesome pizza place 5 stars is for the eat-in experience. It too is similar to the hole-in-the-wall pizza places in the NY area, and that's unfortunately not a good thing. It's small, not terribly clean, and just not really a place to GO to eat. If you want decent pizza with a nice atmosphere and full bar, then try Johnny's (all over ATL) or Fabiano's here in Douglasville.
That said, don't go there to eat. Order out for the best pizza in the ATL area. I'm really upset that I live over 40 minutes away or I'd be ordering a couple of times a week.
This place was a fantastic choice. Great price and great food. My girlfriend and I went on a Saturday and it was not packed at all but turned out to be great food. Customer service could of be a bit better.
Definitely one of the better pizzas I've had. Especially the Buffalo chicken pizza. Yeah, the place isn't the greatest decor wise, but it is great pizza and a great price. If I'm ever on this Cobb Parkway, I'll stop by for a slice.
The baked ziti was pretty good. Not the best or worst. The rolls were yummy and fresh. Service was fast. Next time I'll actually try their stuffed pizzas. They looked delicious.
Read everyone else's reviews. They're right, this place is superb. Personal favorite, veggie pie. Be sure to eat it as fresh out of the oven as possible, the flavor is overwhelming
Love their pizza and that they deliver. Pizza arrives a little soggy but still tastes great.
I had the chickensteak and it's by far the best I've ever had by far! It was hard deciding what I wanted because everything looked sooo good and the pizza looked delish! This was my first trip but I plan on trying everything!
I love this place. I eat here at least 3 times a week and the people are nice and the food is consistent . This is as close to New York pizza as you can get in the south.
I discovered these guys on GrubHub. I love them. I only order plain cheese pizza, but it is so good. One night they had a glitch with GrubHub, and they upgraded me from a small pizza to a large for free. Good people. Good food.
I'm a recent NY to GA transfer, so the bulk of my stars are for creating a NY like atmosphere. My husband, a lifelong Georgian, commented that the environment inside the restaurant seemed weird, which I didnt notice since I'm used to NY pizzerias, so awesome job there.
I got a couple of slices of pizza, and he got a calzone, which was enourmous. Both were good, but we ordered online, and when we got there to pick up I saw they had so many delicious looking slice options! So we will definitely have to stop back sometime soon to chdck those out.? It's a little pricey, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that's for some more NY authenticity.
BEST LASAGNA I HAVE EVER HAD. I just couldn't believe it. It was enough for lunch the next day too. Robust red sauce, lots of meat, and perfect amount of cheese. Incredible!
(The first time I ordered from them, I got the pizza and I was very disappointed actually. I think they make the pizza as a cheese only, and then add toppings as they are ordered. Single sliced pizza CAN be made to order, so I hope they'll start making it fresh.)
Their specialties are pasta and sandwiches! The salads are also very tasty, even the side salad was delicious.
Delivery service: my lasagna came piping hot!
A real New York style experience. OK it's greasy and bad for you but it tastes oh so good. Always stop by here when I'm visiting the boys at SPSU.
I've always enjoyed this place. Great food and great choices. I really like the decor. I'm not sure what so many others are complaining about.
I would have to say it is the best pizza ive ever had! I Drive by it everyday and one day I decided to stop and check it out and glad I did. Huge slices, pizza is suppose to be greasy so the more the better haha
Love this place. Tasty crust. Beat in town. I've been here 100 times and never a bad experience. I have also taken friends here for lunch and they love it too
Who gives a crap about their decor? The place is clean and I come here for the food and it ROCKS!
The pizza is fantastic and pretty much perfect. They make a fantastic chicken parm (the dinner and the sub) and the lasagne is delish. Their zeppolis are delightful and the garlic knots are great. The portion sizes are really generous and the prices are very reasonable. I have never had a less than great meal from Baby Tommy's.
My ONE complaint is that they don't deliver. Sometimes I am unable to go pick up and sometimes I just don't want to get out in the Cobb Pkwy traffic. If they delivered, I would break up with the place that is around the corner from my house and never look back.
Love Baby Tommy's. I moved to Georgia two years ago and it took a while to find a place with cheesesteaks that I'm used to getting in Maryland/ New York. They do a great job here, probably my favorite chicken cheesesteak I've ever had!! There pizza is also very good, every time I go I have to get the cheesesteak and a couple slices. There wings are cooked well with plenty of sauce! My favorite for all of the above for sure, wish it was on my way home more often!
Pizza was really good.
These guys are the best!
My son and I arrived about 10 minutes before closing and the the gentleman relunctantly made me the best pizza ever, We order the works which is known as a supreme pizza and because I was in a rush and last min, I was afraid to ask them to do half in pepperoni for my son.
It took all of 12 mins to make a bake our pizza, it was so hot and delicious and made just right, also served with a smiled. I will definitely try Baby Tommy's again.
So much grease but the pizza is really good! I just felt super fat eating it, grease was dripping out the box. But the pizza was so good! I might eat here again but I'm not exactly sure, I mean I could fry me a batch of French fries at this point and my heart is beating a little slower. But the pizza was amazing, if I don't make it past today, I clearly had a heart attack! And the owner isn't very nice so I'm not exactly how I felt about that. Although I hear that's how people up north act.
Great place good food,, u smell that original pizza smell at the doorway
If u like NY pizza deftly give this a try u won't be disappointed
The best pizza in town ,even better people, small tow
n vibe in a big city, once again never fails amazing pizza can't even wait to get it home before having a slice
This place place it the closes place to home New York style pizza it your home away from home people are a mazed.
The best in Georgia from NY.
My son and I love this place. Even with his bottomless pit of a stomach, we can split a slice of stuffed pizza and a regular slice, each, and barely finish it. The crust is thin, crispy/chewy, and buttery. The cheese is abundant. The meat is MEAT. Even the stuffed veggie slice is awesome.
I could eat here everyday, but I know my heart would not appreciate working harder than it already does. But if I wanted to die happy, I'd eat my way to Baby Tommy's heaven. Is be well worth the trip. I think God understands because He brought this amazing pizzeria for us to enjoy a slice of heaven on earth. You can thank me later, just order or dine in now.
Personal faves: any stuffed slice, eggplant slice, buffalo chicken slice
I enjoy this pizza place whenever I'm in Marietta. they have a combo deal that is one of the best in town. I suggest going inside instead of carrying out. the staff is super cool and you can ensure that you're getting a quality piece.
The pizza was perfect, quick delivery considering nfl football is on tonight. Visiting from Vegas and you know I try pizza everywhere I go. Whole pizza and coke to myself what's up Atlanta!
Great piece of New York in Georgia. Excellent selections. Family style restaurant great for eating in. Lunch specials. A definite must try.
Blast from the past at Baby Tommy's Taste of New York!! If you were a teenager in the 80's this place is a time capsule... from the vintage rock playing to the TV that looks like it was here when the place opened, but thats not the most important part, that's the food!! If you remember your corner sub/ pizza shop from your youth this is it!!! Great hot & cold subs, and top notch Pizza!!! Order anything here, you won't be disappointed!
In one word "awesome "
Great lunch place , plenty of options .
Reasonable on price . One slice two toppings with a drink was less than 6$ .
Best NYC pizza ......right here in Georgia. Take advantage of this delicious hole to in the wall. It's a word of mouth kind of place. I share because there's enough pizza to go around. Great eggplant sub and cannoli as well.
i've ordered a hot dog, french fries and an order of wings. the wings were not all that but the hot dog sure reminds me of being in NYC :) i absolutely love the hot dogs and fries. i haven't tried anything else yet, but I will!
NOW IM UPSET THEY DONT DELIVER TO MY OFFICE...TOTALLY BUMMED OUT!! :(
I got the stuffed pizza and the title lives up to its name! I left stuffed.
It is a small pizza joint, seems relatively authentic. I say relatively because I haven't actually been to a New York pizza place. The food looked fresh, what I ordered tasted great, and the service was pretty quick, even though there was a large group in front of me.
We love this place! The pizza is great, and the sandwiches are fantastic. There are not a lot of good deli type resturants around here, so this place really fits the bill. Nice casual atmosphere, good family joint. Prices are average. It's far for us to get to, but always worth the trip! Pros: Great variety, Authentic taste, Good value Cons: , Only one place
this is really worth the buck
I have a pizza fetish, I know pizza when I have it. Out fo many of the places in the city of Atlanta. I found that this pizza is thes best. That includes their service and knowledge of their menus. I ordered the Chicken Marsala pizza (18"" diameter). The pizza was huge and the salad was too. I now love this place. I highly recommend it for everyone. Pros: great service, great price, great portions Cons: location
The service made it extremely unique Pros: The pizzas taste like they are actually from New York Cons: No Cons
Baby Tommy's has the best Pizza and cheese steaks in Marietta. The staff is friendly and they have a huge selection of choices if your in the mood for something other than Pizza! Pros: Great Food Cons: Crowded
Tommy's Taste Of New York
We've been coming here for years.
BEST PIZZA I'VE HAD SINCE MOVING HERE
Without a doubt the best pizza south of New York City. This is the real thing and the service is really great. The people that work at Baby Tommy's take pride in creating the best pizza, salads and desert we've had in a long time.
Best NY style pizza
This is the best NY style pizza I've found since moving south. As far as best pizza ever, thats a debate of pizza styles. But as far as NY pizza goes, you wont find any better in the south.

Best Pizza in Town!
This place is a hidden gem. Authentic NY pizza and other favorite foods, all made fresh with quick service & a great deal, too. Love the menu variety; hot or cold deli sandwiches, pastas, hot dogs, and lots of different stuffed pizza, stromboli, calzone. Everything is delicious! And great staff.
Kind of tricky during evening rush-hour when there's lots of traffic on North Hwy 41 (Cobb Pkwy). Suggest turning right, merging onto S. Marietta Loop and then you're right at Interstate 75.
The service made it extremely unique

I really enjoy their pizza, stromboli and meatball sub. I have always had good food and good service there.
BABY TOMMY'S QUALITY PIZZA LACKS QUALITY ATTITUDE.
I RECENTLY PAID A VISIT TO BABY TOMMYS PIZZA NEAR COBB COUNTY IN GEORGIA AND ALTHOUGH THE PIZZA WAS VERY TASTY THE ATTITUDE THERE BY IT'S WORKERS LEFT A BAD TASTE IN MY FAMILY'S MOUTH. I SENSED THEIR NOT TOO PERTICULAR OF BLACK PEOPLE

Pizza taste like it was made a few days ago. Crust is very hard, I could probably knock someone out with it if I hit them in the head with it.
